The Beautiful Paoay, Ilocos Norte

Surely, I've been too busy working for the past few months that I haven't had a break. I thought it won't be until the end of the year before I get one but unexpectedly it wasn't!

Most of my friends know how much I love traveling but only outside the Philippines. Why? Firstly, it's because it's hot. Secondly, I feel safer in other countries that I usually visit, which is Hong Kong and Singapore - being the country that I consider my second home. I know, it doesn't make any sense. I hate hot weather and yet I'm talking mostly about Singapore. I fell in love with the place, that's all. And let's admit it, Singapore is safer than Philippines specially for someone like me who loves to travel alone. If I'm not traveling alone, going around Philippines isn't a bad idea at all! It's such a beautiful country so why not, right?

Honestly, I can't remember the last time I traveled inside the country. It's been so long. Now that I had an unexpected vacation, I'm very happy that I did and that I was with my friends! I'm thankful to them for inviting me although I didn't really agree at first. It's mainly because of my work.

Now that I got the chance to visit Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur, I felt so darn happy that I decided to go! We went to a lot of places including Vigan but I have to give it to Paoay, Ilocos Norte. I know most people who got the chance to visit Ilocos would wonder why I didn't like Vigan more. I guess, it's because I wasn't able to explore it as much as I wanted to. I wasn't able to enjoy it as much as I wanted despite the fact that it was the one that I was looking forward to the most. It's all thanks to the weather that day. It was raining so we weren't able to enjoy Vigan. I didn't even get to take a single photo! So it only means one thing. I have to go back!

For me, Paoay is such a beautiful place and indeed, I fell in love with the place. It's hot yes but if you ask me, it's worth it. The beauty you'll see is definitely worth it. I've never been in a place with such beautiful clouds in my life.

Every time I look at the sky, it's as if it was painted by God.

Believe it or not, the two photos above are the raw files. Yes, you got it right! It's the original photo that I took. No filter. No enhancements. No editing. You don't need to use a filter or edit your photos to get that perfect photo that you wanted. The place is that beautiful!

I've checked all the photos I took while we were there and I have to admit majority of them are beautiful! Not because I took it beautifully or what but it's the place itself.

If you're into photography, Paoay is indeed one of the places you have to visit! If you're not into photography, it still is a great place to go. Why? It's because their foods are delicious!

Give it a try. Who knows you might end up falling in love with the place like I did!
