Before anything else, I would like to greet all of you a HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR! May you all have a year filled with memories worth remembering and also a blessed year ahead!~ 2014 was a VERY memorable year for me. Not just for my career, for my personal life but also for my fangirl life. There was a lot of ups and downs but I have to say this was indeed a year wherein I just couldn't stop being thankful for being so blessed. I received too much blessings that there were times I doubt myself and ask God if I truly deserve all these but I realize, instead of having doubts, I should prove that I deserve all these. I never knew that while I was doing it, I was also getting closer to some of my biggest dreams in life. I always thought that I already worked hard enough in my life but after seeing how much I worked this year, I'm also surprised. I never thought I was capable of so many things and now I was able to prove that each of us is capable of so many things than we ever imagined. Don't waste it. Explore. Get out of your comfort zone. Don't be afraid to try new things because it's trying these new things we learned new things about ourselves too. To the family who always had each other's back since they were still kids, Art of Movement aka AOM To the music label who made a difference, the one and only Above Ordinary Music Group aka AOMG To the very talented guys and girls and also my favorite Korean dance crew, Prepix It's been so long since the last time I drew and I know my skills is way too low compared to the way it was 2-3 years ago. Of course I feel bad for it but at the same time I don't. It was actually a blessing in disguise if you ask me. If I did continue pursuing being an illustrator, CT Cover Creations won't exist and I'm sure I won't be where I am now. Maybe I'm a successful illustrator or maybe not. For me, it doesn't really matter anymore. Why you ask? Truth is, I really never had the confidence with my drawing skills. I know I only need to practice and I'll definitely get better. Trust me, I really know that. I've been there. I already reached that part when I too can't believe I was that good but then things happen. What's important is I'm happy to be where I am now and I'm proud to be where I am now. Now that I'm a cover artist, I don't really draw anymore. However, these past few months especially last December 2014, I seemed to have that urge to draw again. Of course, it's not the same as before. I'm more into graffiti and calligraphy now. If I ever want to go back to being an illustrator, it would take me a lot of time, which I really don't have, to practice to get my old skills back. I'm really happy being a cover artist. I'm happy to have found the career that I really enjoy doing and now that I'm also working on a few artworks from time to time, I can't be any happier. I'm simply happy that I got the chance to draw again and not to mention, I also get to use it to at least show my gratitude to the people around me especially to the people who had always been a GREAT inspiration for me. Above are only some of the graffiti I made. I have a few more but decided not to post it. I decided to just post the ones I'm gonna use for the New Year greetings. As you can see, it's not as good as the awesome graffiti we see in the streets and it's definitely not perfect too. I know that but one thing I can tell you, I had a lot of fun working on these. What I love the most is the AOMG one. I was darn surprised how that turned out. There's actually 2 versions of it but the 1st version sucks big time! So let's not post it anymore. lol Thank God I decided to redo it and it turned out way better than I expected. So far, that's my favorite work of all. I do hope that with these simple artworks, I can make them smile even for a second and hopefully... maybe... just maybe... they can also feel how grateful I am towards them. Because I really am especially to Jay. He's definitely my biggest inspiration! To all my family, friends, people I look up to, my clients, and to you Now that a new year just started, don't waste this chance to change things that you want to change in your life. Don't be afraid to leave people behind especially people who only serves as an anchor that keeps you where you are. Not every person you meet in life deserves to be in it. Some only needed to be there for a while to give you lessons, to make you a better person. As you grow old, you'll learn that you don't really need to have a lot of people around you. All you need are those few people who loves you and stick with you despite all your flaws. Don't let negativity get in your head. Remember, there is no one in this world who doesn't have any haters. Everyone has one. I do have haters too but you know what? They don't need to matter. Just do what you do. As long as you know in yourself that you're not stepping on someone else then you're good. One more thing, remember that the reason why people are hating on you is because they're jealous of what you have. You don't need to force people to like you or what you do. There will always be those people who truly appreciates you and what you do. Never be afraid to surround yourself with successful people. Most people think this is wrong, that you're being such an ass and being a user but truth is, it's not like that. It doesn't work that way. If you want to be around them so that you can feed on them, then you're the one who's wrong. Surround yourself with successful people because you too want to be like them, that you too want to be successful. Surround yourself with people who work their asses off and their feet on the ground and you'll found yourself learning the same habit. Before you know it, you too are being successful in your own ways. As long as you believe in what you do, work hard for it and never stop learning, you'll definitely reach your dreams. It may not be now but believe me your time will definitely come. Just don't stop working. Trust me when I tell you ALL hard work pays off! However, once in a while, take a break too. You need it.
And most of all, never ever forget to be a blessing to others. Again, Happy Happy Happy Happy Happy New Year to you! Welcome this new year with a happy and loving heart, positivity and big dreams. Stop waiting for things to happen to you and start working to get those. Your chance may not be now but if you work hard for it, who knows? It could happen to you in a few days. It all depends how you think and trust me, with positive thinking, you'll go a long way. May you have a blessed year ahead!~
